Bowstring was in for a special treat. Damn Skippy and Crooked Coast starter off the night with high energy performances and got the crowd hype. Badfish then came out and played a few of their classics including Foolish Fool, Badfish and Garden Grove before having to take break when a lightning storm and heavy rain rolled in. The crowd took shelter inside and under tents and after the storm blew through the band came back out to play a special acoustic set under the tent, even taking requests and encouraging the crowd to sing along. Can’t wait for this crew to come back to NC!

NC Hops and Roots Festival
The Plant - Pittsboro, NC

Just a short drive down the road is a magical place in Pittsboro called “The Plant” and this weekend they are hosting a 3 day music and camping festival called NC Hops & Roots Fest. NC powerhouse Dr. Bacon will perform Friday night and there will be bluegrass, folk , reggae, funk music for all to enjoy. Beer and food vendors on site. Movement and Yoga classes will be offered as well. Get your tickets now!

Band Together’s Mighty Giveback returns Saturday, October 18th for a throwback show on Lincoln Theatre’s Outdoor Stage, featuring Southern rock & jam band legends Gov’t Mule, fronted by Warren Haynes of The Allman Brothers Band. They’re bringing their signature blend of bluesy swagger and jam-band soul and ready to light up Raleigh. This concert supports mental health initiatives and some amazing impact partners right here in our community!
