Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival

Shakori Hills is truly a place where the music and the community feed the soul! Thanks to Snappin Joshua for capturing these magical moments! There was so much talent this year but here are few of the highlights.

Toubab Krewe got things heated on up on Thursday night with their unique African inspired funk from Asheville, NC

The Del McCroury Band put on a masterclass in traditional bluegrass and filled the audience with smiles and laughter!

Domocile made their Shakori debut and had the Cabaret tent grooving!

This week marks the end of an era as Chapel Hill's own folk-bluegrass heroes, Mipso, play their final shows before taking an indefinite break. After 13 incredible years that started right here between classes at UNC, the band is celebrating their journey with four consecutive, sold-out nights at their spiritual home, the legendary Cat's Cradle in Carrboro (October 7th, 8th, and two shows on the 9th).

The band shared that after over a thousand shows, they are stepping away to avoid burnout, choosing to "press pause" while they still love each other and their music. It’s going to be an emotional and beautiful farewell party celebrating the music and community they’ve built over the last decade.

Confluence Carolinas Conference and Showcase Festival

If you are heading to the Confluence Music Conference in Charlotte this weekend, you absolutely cannot miss the Friday night showcase at Petra's! This lineup is stacked with EZ Vibes favorites: you’ll catch the jazzy, electronic, funk fusion of Cosmic Collective, some awesome Asheville psychedelic indie-rock with Dr. Bacon and The Get Right Band, rising singer-songwriter Ali Forrest, and more incredible talent. It’s a perfect sampler of the diverse, jam-adjacent music coming out of the Carolinas!
