SUSTO Stringband brings alt-country straight back to its Appalachian roots!
Frontman Justin Osborne (of SUSTO) has teamed up with Asheville's Holler Choir to rework his soulful indie-rock anthems into honest, heart-wrenching bluegrass, Americana, and old-time string band arrangements. This unique collaboration is a deeply moving experience that brings incredible musicianship and raw storytelling. Opening is the charming indie-folk trio, Oliver Hazard, delivering tight harmonies and sing-along melodies.

Raleigh got a heavy dose of rhythmic, global groove this past Saturday at the Lincoln Theatre, and the vibes were high!

The night kicked off with Chill Paxton, who showcased their tight originals and really turned the heat up when they brought out the Funk You horns for an epic take on "My Old School" by Steely Dan!

Atlanta's Funk You then absolutely slayed the middle slot. With new singer Frankie leading the charge, the full horn section pushed their extended jams into pure dance-floor gold. They left nothing on the table, proving why they are one of the most righteous funk outfits on the scene.

Finally, Asheville powerhouse Toubab Krewe took the stage, celebrating the birthday of leader Justin "Doc" Perkins! The party was an irresistible storm of West African rhythms and American rock sensibilities, focused squarely on getting the crowd moving. The lights were a perfect complement to the trance-inducing, rhythmic focus of their set.
